About the author

formal 3

I’m Adela Teubner, a student from Adelaide, Australia. My blog, All You Need Is The Beatles, went live in June 2014, where I wrote about my then-favourite band, The Beatles (hence its name!), and published my own poetry. However, these days, it’s a space where I sporadically ramble about all the music, TV, film, literature, and fashion I love when I’m not too occupied with my studies!

A heavily abbreviated list of some of the people and things you’ll probably read about here includes David Bowie, The Velvet Underground, Joni Mitchell, Big Star, Talking Heads, David Lynch, Wim Wenders, Joan Didion, Mad Men, Halt and Catch Fire, kitschy ’60s lounge music, Russian Romantic-era composers, and my love of glamorous vintage and haute couture clothing — plus, of course, John, Paul, George, and Ringo. (I also love to detail new music and culture I discover, so stay posted for that!)

When I’m not consuming other people’s art, I am also a writer, currently being on staff for The Mostly Books Blog and the Felicitas Collective alongside this blog, and a musician, as both a serious classical violinist and a casual singer/guitarist. I love to scour op-shops and vintage stores for interesting fashion and do photography as well.

Hope you enjoy the blog, and be sure to get in touch via the comments or the “Contact” form! You can also follow me on various other online platforms (see below), but I have — unusually for my generation — largely given up social media, so my postings are very sporadic…

  1. Just checked out your YouTube channel – you have such an interesting voice! Lovely tone. Keep the videos coming! And good for you for getting up on stage. I’ve been too afraid to even do open mic nights at the local cafe! I admire your fearlessness 🙂

Do you write songs as well?

    1. Thank you so much! That really made my day! 🙂 I will definitely keep the videos coming! Playing that gig was so much fun. The place where I played it is a relatively well-known music venue where I live, so I really enjoyed it!
I sort-of write songs. I wrote the ‘Wouldn’t That Be Good’ song on my channel, and I have about five songs started, but not yet finished… I hope to write some (complete) ones soon! 🙂
